Privacy Policy
Last updated 14 June 2026
BOOKITT (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website and BOOKITT services, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you use BOOKITT, we may collect:
- Account information — name, email, phone number, and password (stored securely via our authentication provider).
- Business profile data — business name, category, location, photos, services, hours, and pricing you provide as a business owner.
- Booking information — appointment times, service selected, status, and optional notes.
- Location data— if you allow it, approximate coordinates to show distance and “near you” sorting. You can deny browser location permission.
- Usage data — pages visited, device/browser type, and technical logs needed to operate and secure the service.
2. How we use information
- Create and manage customer and business accounts.
- Facilitate bookings between customers and businesses.
- Send transactional messages (e.g. email confirmation, booking notifications) through our auth and messaging infrastructure.
- Improve reliability, security, and product experience.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. How information is shared
- Between customers and businesses — when you book, the business receives the details needed to honour the appointment (name, contact info, service, time).
- Service providers — we use infrastructure partners (including Supabase for database, authentication, and storage) to host and operate BOOKITT. They process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards.
- Legal requirements — we may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of the platform.
4. Data storage & security
Data is stored on secure servers operated by our infrastructure providers. We use industry-standard measures such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use a strong password and keep it private.
5. Retention
We retain account and booking data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account subject to records we must keep by law.
6. Your choices
- Update profile information in your account settings.
- Deny or revoke location permission in your browser or device.
- Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal data where applicable.
7. Cookies & local storage
We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication sessions, preferences (such as theme), and essential site functionality. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on the core BOOKITT product at this time.
8. Children
BOOKITT is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. International users
If you access BOOKITT from outside the region where we primarily operate, your information may be processed where our providers operate data centres.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest version. Material changes will be posted on this page.
